The time is upon us to Get The Band & Orchestra Back Together this Saturday May 12th starting at 6pm.

Thought we might share out the loose agenda so you know that the program for the evening is at the front end with music, more socializing and the option for dancing toward the end.

6:00 Guest arrivals, cocktails and appetizers, mingling and JL orchestral ensemble plays
6:30 More food is served
7:00 Welcome, Main Program, Auction (while we are eating)
8:00 Dessert: Acknowlegements & Thank yous
8:30 Socializing, Music, Photo Opps…if you like….dancing to your favorite 80s music. If you have a strong desire to hear certain music let us know or bring your playlist.

We are Getting The Band Back Together. There will be an alumni band and orchestra reunion, fundraiser in support of instrumental music education in Tacoma and celebration of educators Jack Lloyd, Rex Turner and Kristin Turner of Stadium High School, Jason Lee and Meeker Middle Schools on May 12th, 2012.  6-11 PM.  Former students, parents, colleagues and members of the community are most welcome.  It will be held in Tacoma, Washington in the private event space @ THE HUB – 203 Tacoma Ave S. with the Maestros as our honored guests. With the change in venue, children are now welcome!

The reunion will feature:

    • The opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones in our musically inspired community.
    • The evening will include performances by Jason Lee Orchestra Quartet.
    • A chance for you to Perform in the Reunion Band or Orchestra, so dust off your clarinets, your oboes or your bassoon!  Pucker up for your beloved French horn, trumpet, tuba or trombone!  Pied pipers play your flutes and piccolos and your flock will follow you to this event.  You can stop playing air drums and violin, because this is the real deal.
    • Share your band memories in both visual and written form to be compiled for use during the event. Go to Submit Photos and Memories above.
    • Become more active in your community by getting involved in this event, see Event Sponsorship or Volunteer above under Give Back.
    • Rally around a cause that we all care about: supporting instrumental music education in our community. See Instrument Drive and Donations above under Give Back.
    • Keep The Band Together as a founding member of an alumni band foundation that is dedicated to keeping arts in the Tacoma Schools.
